It shaves the peaks off a signal and shows you exactly what it took away. ・DRIVE 0 to +24 dB pushes the signal into the ceiling. ・CEILING -24 to 0 dB. The clipped path never goes above it - overshoot 　from oversampling is caught by a short lookahead. ・SHAPE (Hard / Soft / Round) sets how far below the ceiling the curve 　starts to bend. ・MIX for parallel clipping, OUT trim, and AUTO GAIN that only ever turns 　the level down, so you compare clipped and unclipped at the same loudness. ・The waveform view draws the output over the input: the colour sticking 　out is the part that was removed. The ceiling line moves down as DRIVE 　goes up. ・Transfer curve with a glowing dot for the sound right now, plus CLIPPED %, 　AUTO GAIN and QUALITY readouts. ・The graph a knob affects is framed in that knob's colour for about 2 s. ・QUALITY 1x / 2x (2x by default). 12 presets plus your own. ・A/B, undo/redo, tooltips and a latency-compensated bypass. This plug-in is free, and it is not a trial. There is no Pro edition, no time limit, no feature timeout, no ads and no licence activation. Requirements: Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) and a VST3 host. 44.1 / 48 / 96 / 192 kHz, mono or stereo. No additional runtime is needed - the Visual C++ redistributable is not required.
